Modelling

Land contamination can result from activities conducted by a wide range of industries. The environmental and legal liabilities arising can be costly and with significant public relations effect.

Management of both explicit and hidden risks prevents further degradation of soil and groundwater while minimising the resulting impacts on human health and the environment.

BREEZE Incident Analyst

Comprehensive Accidental Release and Consequence Modeling Application

BREEZE Incident Analyst is a comprehensive tool for accidental chemical release hazard and consequence modeling. Featuring industry-standard toxic dispersion, fire, and explosion models to evaluate the threats posed by accidental hazardous chemical releases.

The user-friendly interface includes a suite of 10 powerful models to model for facility design/safety improvement purposes, a U.S. EPA Risk Management Program Offsite Consequence Analysis, real-time assessment of hazards in emergency situations, or reconstruction of a past incident.

Product Features:

  • Consists an array of established dispersion models, fire models, and vapor cloud explosion models. No more proprietary “black box” models!
  • Achieve trustworthy results for a fraction of the cost and time of CFD systems
  • Robust built-in chemical database to model for a wide variety of common chemicals.
  • The powerful Source Term Wizard automatically calculates the release properties to recommend an appropriate dispersion model for your scenario.
  • Includes BREEZE 3D Analyst for visualization of results, export to Google Earth, etc.

Technical Features:

  • Model dense gas plumes and evaporating chemical pools with DEGADIS and SLAB
  • Model neutrally-buoyant gas plumes, including moving sources, with AFTOX and INPUFF
  • Predict thermal radiation exposure and temperature rise with the unconfined pool fire, confined pool fire, vertical jet fire (flare), and BLEVE models
  • Model vapor cloud explosions with Baker-Strehlow-Tang, TNO Multi-Energy, U.S. Army TNT Equivalency, and U.K. HSE TNT Equivalency models

BREEZE ExDAM

Explosion Consequence Modeling Software

BREEZE ExDAM® (Explosion Damage & Injury Assessment Model) is a unique, efficient 3D explosion consequence modeling suite that allows users to predict injury and damage resulting from the detonation of high explosive and vapor cloud explosions.

BREEZE ExDAM contains the High Explosive Damage Assessment Model (HExDAM) and Vapor Cloud Explosion Damage Assessment Model (VExDAM) to provide a fast and accurate means to calculate structure damage and personnel injury due to overpressure (OP), dynamic pressure (DP), and impulse (IP) distributions.

Companies, organizations, and teams that would benefit from explosion consequence modeling include, but are not limited to:

  • Homeland security
  • Bomb squads/Anti-terrorist efforts
  • Fire departments
  • First responders
  • FEMA
  • Process safety professionals
  • Risk advisors
  • Insurance/reinsurance companies
  • Manufacturers and processors of combustible materials
Calculate the blast overpressure and dynamic pressure due to high explosives based on TNT equivalency method

Calculate the blast overpressure and impulse due to vapor cloud explosions based TNO Multi-energy method

Calculate damage to structures and injury to personnel based upon empirical pressure-impulse (P-I) vulnerability data

Simulate blast wave propagation around structures and people, where objects closer to the blast act to shield the blast wave from other objects further away

Model secondary or sympathetic explosions triggered by damage or failure during primary blast and calculates additive damage/injury

Produce detailed results and advanced 3D graphical outputs in a fraction of the runtime

Access over 100 industry-standard building materials from the library

Access database of anatomical people that can be inserted into the model to determine injury
