What is Environment Impact Assessment (EIA)?

Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) is a study to identify, evaluate and communicate info about the impact of a prescribed project on the environment. An EIA is required for prescribed activities under the provision of Section 34A (2c) of the Environmental Quality Act 1974 and Environmental Quality (Prescribed Activities) (Environmental Impact Assessment) Order 2015 which has been gazetted and enforced since 28th August 2015.
